Sew Grateful Week Giveaway: Fat Quarters

My Happy Sewing Place

Now that I finally have a little sewing blog, I can take part in the Debi’s Sew Grateful Week. I’m really happy to take this little step into the sewing blog community, because I am very grateful for this community.

For now, I have a little something to give away…six fat quarters of quilting cotton as shown in the picture below. I have tried to get the colors as true as possible in the image, but you know how computers are with color.Β So, the green on the farthest left is what I would call a sage color. 2014-02-24_18-38-21_300_2Maybe that will help you envision what the colors actually are. This giveaway is open to anybody who comments on this post. If you like, tell me what you think you might do with the fabric. Please make your comments by the end of the day on Friday February 28th and I will choose the winner over the weekend.

  1. Oh, what pretty fabrics! i’d use them as accents on garments – pocket bags, waistbands, patch pockets, covered buttons, that sort of thing. Little pops of floral prettiness. πŸ™‚

  2. Hi there
I would love to enter your giveaway. I would probably make something for my daughter or make several gifts for female friends. Sage is my daughter’s favourite herb which is crunches on after a roast dinner so this would have her name on it.

  3. The fabric is so lovely, I’m a flower-fabric addict! πŸ™‚ I’d probably sew a quilt top for my kitchen, I need to bring in something new and change things (otherwise it’s boring πŸ˜‰ ) Thank you!

  4. Lovely fat quarters! I have not made a quilt in a while but really need to get back to it! Those would go nicely in my “collection”… πŸ™‚ Happy Sew Gratefull Week!

  5. I’m a quilter, so those lovelies would likely end up in all sorts of places and projects. Although, you’ve coordinated them so nicely, I might have to find a small project and keep them all together!

  6. Congrats starting your “little sewing blog”. I just started mine last month! I would use these for dresses for my daughter, or to make pocketbooks -I love the patterns from Swoon and have been wanting to try one! The fabrics are lovely!

  7. Oh, so pretty… I am planning to begin a quilted purse and would love to use the fabrics for it. Thank you for your give-away!

  8. Oh, there are lovely! I would use them for bunting that I am going to make for my friend – she is due to have her first baby in April and has asked for bunting for the little one’s nursery.
